• For Scientist/Senior Scientist : Ph.D (submitted) in Chemistry / Electrochemistry / Physical Chemistry / Materials Science / polymer chemistry / Polymer Physics / Polymer Technology / Metallurgy / Chemical Engineering / Material Science and Engineering.
• For Technical Assistant : First Class Diploma in Electronics and Communication /Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical Technology / Engineering of 3yrs full time duration OR First class B.Sc Physics/Chemistry with one year full time PG diploma in Journalism/English communications.
• Nationality : Indian

Age Limit :

• For Scientist : 32 years
• For Senior Scientist : 37 years
• For Technical Assistant : 28 years 

Application Fee : Candidates have to pay Rs.500/- (for Scientist/Sr.Scientist posts) and Rs.100/- (for Technical Assistant posts) through Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank and valid for at least 3 months in favour of “Director, CSIR-CECRI” payable at Karaikudi. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PH/Women/CSIR Employees are exempted from payment of application fee.
